Redondo/Nike Inv.     3200    1600    HH
3200: Outstanding performance by Steve Correa of San Pedro. His early season time of 9:26 would have won the 2013 City title by 10 seconds.
1600:With his performance here,
Menelik Dagnacchew (Palisades) has already improved on his 2013 City final time of 4:33.74.  Keep an eye on San Pedro’s freshman Wyatt Kercher whose 4:38.3 would have placed him 6th in the 2013 City F/S final. Marissa Williams exploded on this track with a win and a time a fraction better than her 2013 City title win. Pali freshman, Nicole Figueroa, impressed with her 5:35.8, a time that would have placed her 2nd in last year’s City F/S final.
High Hurdles:
Although they got help from the wind, Kristina Gumbs and Mylia Gray ran good times of 15.54.  Johnny Defroe, whose last recorded high hurdle race was in 2012 at 18.99, came out ahead of Justin Collins 14.99  to 15.83. Where do all these hurdlers hail from? Carson, of course. Note: The athlete listed as Justin Collins was really Deijah Porter.
